Περίληψη: In a democracy, the presence of women in politics is essential. Since women make up the majority of the world's population, they must be adequately represented in politics. The major obstacles to women's political participation are family structures and the social esteem in which women are held. The representation of Indian women in the Indian Parliament does not exceed 10%. If more women are represented in politics, the world may become more peaceful. Every area of life needs balance to sustain itself, and women balance politics. Since I am passionate about Indian culture and history, I want to bring forward one of the most critical issues that India has been dealing with since independence, where it all began. The role of women in politics. What is the percentage of women in politics? Do caste, religion, and language determine who gets a seat in politics? The curse of nepotism and is the fate of women dependent on it? I want to show what role women play in Indian politics and how different the picture is in practice. In short, my thesis will outline the current political space that women occupy. How women can redefine this space. And what strategies are being used to strengthen their position?
