Abstract

We are living in an era where globalization has reached new frontiers while speed is present everywhere in our daily life. Therefore, it is important to be able to move ourselves and our products faster than ever before. The solution is offered by air transport, which is the only means that can travel the longest distances in less time, carrying both passengers and freight. Hence, one can easily infer that air transport is more than vital not only for our everyday lives but also to keep advancing. However, how the cost of such an essential means of transport is structured? How do airlines manage their costs? On the other hand, it is more than important for airlines, like every company, to achieve profits that allow them to continue their activity. Thus, the current study aims to explain the costs of an airline and how they manage them, but also how they price their product.
