Abstract

The implementation of actions for the mitigation of climate change and the tackling of environmental dangers are a prerequisite in order to form a safe and viable future, They require everyone’s involvement and cooperation and the involvement of public administration whose activities affect the future significantly. Modern public administration is obliged to adapt to the environmental requirements of our era and prioritize the environment. It is obligated to apply strategies, policies and reforms and to reap the benefits of the existing innovations and technologies which aim to protect the environment and to address the phenomenon of climate change. The object of the present project is to highlight ways, practices and procedures with which the public administration will mitigate the environmental implications caused by its own function and will form policies for sustainable development. It presents ways in which it will incorporate in its function, programmes, procedures and suggests ‘’green solutions’’ that improve its carbon footprint.
