The prohibition of biological warfare in international law. Evolution and developments in the 21st century

Abstract

The main purpose of the dissertation is the analysis of how the international community deals with the matter of the biological warfare and the prohibition regarding the use of biological weapons according to international law. There is an examination about the historical retrospect of the use of biological weapons from ancient times till the 21st century, the use of biological agents from four countries, the different types of biological agents, the international conventions regarding the prohibition of these weapons and the development which has been made in the 21st century concerning this issue.
