Title: Motto Perpetuo: for marimba alone
Authors: Constantinides, Dinos
Keywords: LRC263
Issue Date: 2013
Abstract: The work Motto Perpetuo is written in the manner of the Motto Perpetuo by Paganini. Like the latter it is a virtuoso piece, and it composed only for the very best performers of the instrument. Dynamics and octave displacements are used in abundance to portray depth and coloring. This work is written for my colleague at Louisiana State University percussion professor and composer, Brett Dietz. It is meant to be premiered at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in New York on November 24, 2013.
