dc.description.abstractPiano Concerto No. 2 is a modal work based on a famous Greek folk tune. It is extremely rhythmically energetic, with a harmonic language that uses chord planning and bitonal effects. The piece was published in Greece by Editions Philippe Nakas as a solo piano piece and it is distributed by Magni Publications. The present work is an extension of the original Op.1, Theme and Variations for solo piano. It employs chamber orchestra and it is expanded in its thematic and harmonic language. It is published by Magni Publications. This concerto is dedicated to the Greek pianist Maria Asteriadou.en
