|Landscape III: for Brass Ensemble
|Landscape VII is a reworking of a 1970 composition of the composer. It employs thematic and harmonic materials derived from his 20th century studies for two violins. Landscape VII is modal and lyrical in nature. Numerous polychords and sudden harmonic shifts highlight the entire piece. The solo parts are full of ornamentations and virtuoso passages based on the sonorities of the Brass Ensemble. This composition is written for the virtuoso horn player Vaggelis Skouras and the Hellenic Brass Ensemble.
