| Abstract: | Grecian Variations (1991) was commissioned by and dedicated to violist Jerzy Kosmala, who premiered the piece on October 22, 1987 in Poland. The work is based on a Greek folk tune and employs modal scales and rhythms that are abundant in Greek folk music. |
