Title: Antitheses for Chamber Orchestra
Authors: Constantinides, Dinos
Keywords: LRC35
Issue Date: 1975
Abstract: As indicated by the title, Antitheses for Chamber Orchestra is based on contrasts. The most important contrasts are the juxtaposition of slow and fast sections, rhythmically free and very rhythmic sections, and finally tonal sections and atonal sections ornamented by sound effects. This piece is the same as Antithese for Speaker, Voice, and Chamber Music Ensemble without the texts. Both versions have been presented in numerous composition conferences.
