Abstract: The paper focuses on the competitiveness climate in Georgia after transition period, as well as the Georgian’s business environment. In order to analyse the case of Georgia, I am doing to use the tools of following indices: (1) Global Competitiveness Index – GCI: Which help us to measure the national competitiveness, taking into account the microeconomic and macroeconomic foundations of national competitiveness; (2) Easy Doing Business- EDB: Which is looking at domestic small and medium-size (sms) companies that are the engines of growth and job creation for most economies around the world and measures the efficiency, accessibility and simplicity of regulations applying to them through their life cycle. In other words, I will highlight the causes, of having these indices results in each year, thought out analysing the pillars of the indices. Next, we will see if there is a correlation between “GCI and EDB”. Then, the challenges and perspectives in Georgia, and recommendations.
