Abstract: Agriculture is an important sector of production for economic growth in countries of Southeastern Europe (SEE) and especially for Romania that is the biggest country of the region in terms of land area. In addition, in a country like Romania where rural population accounts for the half of total civilian population, agricultural activity seems to play a key role in rural employment and in the overall economic development of these areas. On the other hand, there are many factors that influence agricultural production and agricultural dynamics in the national economy. This paper examines the potential of Romanian agriculture to grow analysing the development of key factors in agriculture over the last decade.
